Getting together with like-minded people outside of the workshops, seminars, and trade show floor is sometimes where the most valuable learning opportunities can occur. How many times in a lifetime does one get an opportunity to mingle with such interesting people from all over North America in an informal setting, to ask specific questions and “pick their brains”?
Welcome Rally
A fixture at previous versions of the CHAC, we are happy to be continuing this tradition, while reinventing it at the same time! For those of you who have never been to the Welcome Rally, it has had two main components. The first part is a "meet and greet" where you have the opportunity to get to know other attendees over light refreshments.
Once everyone has become a little better acquainted, the formal portion of the Rally begins, featuring motivational and humorous presentations from select VIP's. In previous years, that has included the likes of TJ Mannarino (Creative Director at Universal Studios Orlando), Leonard Pickel (the Godfather of the haunted attraction industry), Dick Terhune (the Voice From Hell), and Matthew Flagler (President, Canadian Haunted Attractions Organized Society).
For 2012, we're adding a third component, which is an Exhibitor Spotlight. After the meet and greet and before the VIP presentations, each CHAC 2012 exhibitor will be afforded an opportunity to give a rapid-fire introduction to their amazing products or services. This is your opportunity to learn more about our fantastic exhibitors, and for many of you to get a "sneak peak" at the offerings on the trade show floor ahead of the masses.

John Migliore
John has appeared as a zombie in Dawn of the Dead (2005), Resident Evil: Apocalypse, George A. Romero's Land of the Dead, George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead, Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption (2011), Plan 9 (2012), Detention of the Dead (2012), My Boring Zombie Apocalypse (2012) and Zombie eXs (2012). John has also appeared in other movies and TV shows that he wishes were zombie flicks also! John is an accomplished artist, having produced numerous issues of his own comic book series. His talk at the Welcome Rally will be a prelude to his Seminar Series session on the weekend entitled "Meet the Survival Zombie: John Migliore's Adventures in the World of Zombie Cinema"

Matthew Flagler
Matthew is the organizer of the Canadian Haunted Attractions, Halloween, Horror & Paranormal Conference. He is also President of the Canadian Haunted Attractions Organized Society, and an avid fan of the halloween season. Matthew will close out the Welcome Rally with his unique mix of humour and motivation that will have you raring to get out there and help him transform an industry. The title and topic of his presentation will be announced very soon.
VIP Dinner
How many times in a year do you have the opportunity to rub elbows with some of the biggest names in the industry? Well, this might just be that chance for some of you! The VIP Dinner is an opportunity to share a meal with CHAC VIP's in an intimate, private setting. Tickets are available only to the first 25 people to purchase them, and will include your meal, including taxes and gratuity. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.
The dinner menu is being finalized by chef, but will be a “blue collar” meal, likely BBQ Chicken and Ribs, baked potato, garden salad, and a dessert.

Saturday Evening Social
This is an event offered as part of the CHAC but hosted and operated for the sole benefit of the Canadian Haunted Attractions Organized Society (CHAOS), which is a non-profit entity of its own. The Saturday evening event will be a fundraiser for CHAOS, an association whose aims include promoting the halloween industry in Canada to the general public.
